Let's Make: Shrimp Fried Rice

One of the best things to do with leftover rice is to make fried rice. Fried rice is probably one of the easiest meals to make and you only need a few ingredients to make it for yourself or your family.

So let's jump into making this delicious dish.


Here's what you'll need:


  • 1/2 of a medium onion diced

  • 2 - 3 scallions thinly sliced

  • 2 cloves of garlic diced

  • 3 - 4 cups of leftover rice

  • 1 med parcel of shrimp

  • 2 medium to large eggs

  • 3/4 cup of mixed vegetables (carrots, corn, and green peas)

  • pinch of salt

  • sprinkle of black pepper/ cayenne pepper

  • 3 - 4 tablespoon of soy sauce

1. In a large skillet add butter or preferred oil, then add onions, garlic, and scallion, and then sauté for a few minutes.


2. Then add mixed vegetables and seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2- 3 minutes.


3. Next move vegetables and shrimp to one side of the skillet, add eggs and cook to scramble.


4. Then add rice, a pinch of salt, black or cayenne pepper, and a drizzle of soy sauce then stir to combine all ingredients.


5. Lastly serve and enjoy
