Let's Make: Cheesy Chicken Nachos

This is certainly nacho average snack! Let's dip right into this cheesy snack.


Here's what you'll need:


Corn tortilla chips

tomatoes

Red pepper

Green pepper

Onion

Jalapeño

Cheddar Cheese

Chicken


Here's how to make it :


Cheese Sauce

  • 2 Tbsp butter

  • 2 Tbsp flour

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 6 oz. medium cheddar, shredded (about 1.5 cups)

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp chili powder

  1. Melt your butter in the sauce pan and add you flour on medium heat until it combines

  2. Whisk in the milk and turn up the heat. Whisk until the mixture becomes thick

  3. Turn off the heat and stir in the cheese a handful at a time until combined

  4. Add your seasonings to taste and of the mixture becomes too thick add a little milk.


Assemble


1. Cook your chicken and set it aside (barbecued is great!)

2. Prepare your cheese sauce and keep it warm

3. Dice your onion and peppers

4. Place your chips in a large bowl

5. Layer your chips, meat, cheese and vegetables to taste
